Most Common Injuries During Peak
Madison covers the Pink Brown 2 in
Grade Ln. Being in a conventional hub
comes with many challenges.
"She handles the adversity that comes
with that belt better than most could
and gets through every night with a
clean belt and healthy employees.
Madison is a leader in every sense of
the word - caring about her people
while still demanding excellence from
them. She doesn't take shortcuts and
goes the extra mile. She gets to know
all her employees individually and
celebrates them for their efforts. She
makes checklists and other
documents to help her and her
coworkers keep on track with their
assignments. She's the best."
A new prescreening process has
been installed at the Main APFE
that requires employees to walk
through with their ID displayed. If
an alert is triggered, employees
undergo a secondary screening
where their personal items are
scanned through X-Ray machines.
Express exit turnstiles will be
available for employees with
minimal personal items, while
those carrying bags must proceed
to the guard shack for screening.
Madison was nominated as this
quarter's "Super UPSer." This is what
her peer had to say about her-Anonymous

If you are unsure, stop and ask. Your

Always Be Careful.
December 2023 Issue No.3
In the past years, back injuries during peak have been on the rise. There may be many
factors that play into this, but the obvious is that package volumes triple during this
busy time of year. The pressure to get thousands of packages out by the end of the
day can take a big toll on our bodies. Although it is very important that our customers
get their items on time, it is also important to not overwork or injure yourself in the
process. Remember to stretch before and after every shift and ask for help if a
package is too heavy.
Have a safe, accident-free peak
this year and Happy Holidays!
