1DA Classes 2DA Classes
It's that time of year again! The
Ramp Training departments will be
training DE-ICE beginning this
month. Weekly schedules will be
communicated via email by deice
management and coordinators. The
operation plays a vital role in
ensuring all deice personnel are
certified prior to the start of the
season. If you see deice trucks out in
the operation spraying water on
aircraft, please understand that
training is in progress! Thanks for
your support!

In a recent 2023 study conducted
by Health & Safety at UPS
Worldport, the analysis of this
year's injuries revealed alarming
patterns. Surprisingly, about 26.8%
of these injuries occurred within
the first year of employment, while
the majority (80.8%) of injuries
happened within five years of an
employee's start date. Many of
these injuries were due to improper
lifting and lowering techniques. To
address this issue and prioritize
employee well-being, a proactive

stages of employment, can significantly reduce workplace accidents and injuries, fostering a safer and healthier work
environment for all.
